I am an E-Learning professional with over 20 years' experience in the Higher Education, SME, Corporate & Charitable Sectors.

My interests are broad and include:

  • the positive impact of Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL)
  • designing effective e-assessment activities
  • maintaining academic integrity
  • the opportunities afforded by Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)
  • supporting teaching & learning through the use of social media & personal technologies
  • embedding inclusive & accessible learning content design practices

 

My work is driven by the successful, sustainable & comprehensive use of technology in support of teaching & learning.

My core activities include:

  • identifying opportunities and technologies to improve educational outcomes
  • leading the development & rollout of e-learning services & content
  • promoting the use of technology to enhance teaching, learning & assessment
  • providing expert advice in the use of technologies for remote, hybrid, hyflex & blended learning
  • facilitating developmental experiences for educators

Experience


 

As an E-Learning professional I have led and delivered a wealth of learning technology projects for clients in all sectors.

The scale and nature of my work is varied.  Recent successful activities include:

  • promoting & supporting the use of personal technology in classroom-based assessment & active learning
  • leading on a 25-fold increase over three years in the uptake of online marking & feedback
  • transforming Law School assessment through reflective practice, digital presentations & online peermarking
  • producing MOOCs, where I lead on development & sustainability of a growing collection of free online courses aimed at a global audience
  • developing the Moodle skills of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in the Corporate sector
  • enhancing teaching, learning, assessment & administration with open source / 3rd party tools
